Mission Statement:

SWAN Advisors, LLC was formed to serve individual investors seeking comprehensive financial services, as well as mutual fund investors who would like to get more from their investments than low returns and high fees.

Our motto, "Sleep Well At Night" is also our mission, and we believe the more our clients understand their investments, and see how well we manage their dollars, the less they will worry about their future financial stability.

Traditionally high fees charged by mutual funds ultimately hurt investor returns and disappoint long-term holders. Our model largely eliminates the unnecessary fees that so often diminish a mutual fund holder’s returns.

Additionally, unlike a mutual fund, our clients are always welcome to discuss their portfolio(s) with a SWAN Advisor. We specialize in tailoring portfolios to suit individual investor needs, with low-cost, long-term capital gains as the primary objective, and short-term gains as a secondary goal/objective. Each custom-tailored portfolio, whether it be a pension plan or individual account, reflects the client's own risk tolerance.

Portfolios are generally comprised of a diversified blend of index shares, as well as individual stocks carefully researched by the Swan Advisors management team. Most stocks are held for two to five years, and some options are be used - specifically LEAPS. However, margin is only used in certain circumstances, and it never comprises more than 20% of any portfolio, unless otherwise spelled out in the client contract.

While we work closely with our partners at Hager Technology Research, we are not exclusively technology investors. Rather, we offer a comprehensive suite of strategies for all investor needs, conservative to aggressive. Our close affiliation with the Hager Technology Team allows us to stay on top of the cutting edge, while enabling us to focus on our clients’ financial objectives.

It's a different world for investors, and we recognize that after the Internet boom of the 90s, business cycles are slowing down, which will ultimately result in lower earnings and lower stock prices. Investor expectations should therefore be modified, as far as anticipated market returns are concerned. That does not mean there is not a lot of opportunity out there, and we know there is. In many ways, there’s more than ever.

Taking advantage of a recovering market is essential to long-term capital appreciation, but protecting assets has never been more important to investors. Our job at Swan is to maintain the balance, and ensure our clients are sleeping well, while knowing their money is working for them.
